Christmas In Yazoo

Jenny and Eric had to fly back to Idaho on Monday, so we had an early Christmas gathering on Sunday at Mom and Dad's house.  It was SO good to all be together for this special time.  We've come to realize that it really doesn't matter where we are or when we are celebrating, but just that we can all be together.

Here's the attempted photo shoot with the three little ones after church...  Hard to get all three looking at the camera at the same time AND with a smile...
This is the cutest little man I have ever seen!  He is SO sweet, despite what his mom and dad say about him!  Love this little grin!
Grady LOVES Baby Will and is just so sweet to him!  They are going to be buddies!
 About to start opening presents...
DID SOMEBODY SAY WE CAN OPEN NOW??!!!??!?!?

Little "mama" and her new baby and stroller from Jenny and Eric...
After opening all of his gifts in three seconds flat, Grady proceeded to "help" everyone else with their gifts as well!  ha.
We gave Pete an MSU beach umbrella so that every Bulldog fan who passes him on the beach will stop to talk football with him/shout out "Hail State"/etc.  and make his day!  Of course when Grady and he opened it in the house, Uncle Jon warned us that that would be bad luck and we had to remind Uncle Jon that we are STATE FANS and that is just inevitable.  We don't need an umbrella to give us bad luck.  ha.

Since Will couldn't open his gifts, V. and Grady were happy to help!
Thanks Uncle Jon and Aunt Sue for helping put together the doll house...  Guess you won't be getting any of these at your house, huh?
 Playing "Pop the Pig"...
 Ahhhhh, MAAAAAAGIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Vera's best friend

These pictures melt my heart.  Grady has always loved Maggie.  But Vera is infatuated with her!  She wants to hug her constantly.  When we are at home, she calls Maggie on her pretend phone to talk to her.  When we are at Mom and Dad's, she follows her around everywhere.  Maggie is the absolute sweetest dog in the universe and doesn't mind one bit that V. is ALL OVER HER!  She is so patient with her and just sits there and lets her do whatever.  I have never seen a kid so taken with a dog!  Love it! Sweet Maggie is getting older and is slowing down SO much and I fear that we may not have much time left to spend with her!  LOVE these pictures!

Hey Santa....

Grady has come SUCH a long way since last year!  The past couple of years, he was scared of Santa.  Refused to talk to him, or pretty much get near him.  This year he's turned over a new leaf.  Maybe it's the fact that his sister has taken over the terrified role, but whatever the reason, he has decided that Santa's a pretty okay guy.

So we were at Flowood park tonight with Jenny, Eric, and my parents and Santa was there.  I asked Grady if he wanted to go talk to him, FULLY expecting the response to be NO, I'M PLAYING, MOM! (Usually NOTHING can tear him away from the playground at the park!)  But to my surprise, he immediately said he wanted to go talk to Santa.

So while we were standing in line to see him (my dad had to hold Vera a short distance AWAY from the Santa set-up because she just wasn't as thrilled as Grady was...ha), I asked Grady what he was going to tell Santa he wanted for Christmas.  He told me that he just wanted to tell Santa that his sister had been really BAD and that he'd been really GOOD!  ha!

When he finally got up there, Vera lucked out and he didn't tattle on her.  He just asked for transformers.  Lucky for Vera.  Oh well, I guess Santa knows the truth!  ha ha

Christmas in Canton

We had planned to take Vera, Grady, and Will to the Canton Square last week when the weather was unbelieveably warm...  but my parents, Susan, and Vera all ended up getting sick and so we had to miss out on the warm weather.  It worked out great because Jenny and Eric arrived this week and we got to go with them!  The weather was not too bad and of course my kids had a blast!  Will wasn't really sure what was going on, but next year, we'll plop him on the rides with them!  ;)

Poor Pete had to be the first to get dizzy with Grady on the carousel...

Waiting for Mrs. Claus to come out and read a story...

And of course I have to have a family picture by my favorite tree every year!

Soooooo glad these two got to be here for Christmas this year!!!

Josh and I got suckered in to riding the carousel one last time before we left!

Thanksgiving at the Farm

We went up to the farm to visit with all of the Fulton clan the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The weather was so great and Grady and Vera enjoyed playing outside all afternoon with their cousins.  Once they got on the four wheelers, they didn't want to get off!  Vera kept chanting, "Ride, Ride, Ride!"  I got some cute pictures of them riding with Josh and Dad...

Visit from PawPaw

PawPaw came to Mississippi for a visit and a wedding that we all went to this weekend.  Grady and Vera were SO excited that he brought them piggy banks from one of his recent trips.  AND a bag full of coins to put IN the piggy banks!  THANK YOU, PawPaw!
