Hey Santa....

Grady has come SUCH a long way since last year!  The past couple of years, he was scared of Santa.  Refused to talk to him, or pretty much get near him.  This year he's turned over a new leaf.  Maybe it's the fact that his sister has taken over the terrified role, but whatever the reason, he has decided that Santa's a pretty okay guy.

So we were at Flowood park tonight with Jenny, Eric, and my parents and Santa was there.  I asked Grady if he wanted to go talk to him, FULLY expecting the response to be NO, I'M PLAYING, MOM! (Usually NOTHING can tear him away from the playground at the park!)  But to my surprise, he immediately said he wanted to go talk to Santa.

So while we were standing in line to see him (my dad had to hold Vera a short distance AWAY from the Santa set-up because she just wasn't as thrilled as Grady was...ha), I asked Grady what he was going to tell Santa he wanted for Christmas.  He told me that he just wanted to tell Santa that his sister had been really BAD and that he'd been really GOOD!  ha!

When he finally got up there, Vera lucked out and he didn't tattle on her.  He just asked for transformers.  Lucky for Vera.  Oh well, I guess Santa knows the truth!  ha ha

Christmas in Canton

We had planned to take Vera, Grady, and Will to the Canton Square last week when the weather was unbelieveably warm...  but my parents, Susan, and Vera all ended up getting sick and so we had to miss out on the warm weather.  It worked out great because Jenny and Eric arrived this week and we got to go with them!  The weather was not too bad and of course my kids had a blast!  Will wasn't really sure what was going on, but next year, we'll plop him on the rides with them!  ;)

Poor Pete had to be the first to get dizzy with Grady on the carousel...

Waiting for Mrs. Claus to come out and read a story...

And of course I have to have a family picture by my favorite tree every year!

Soooooo glad these two got to be here for Christmas this year!!!

Josh and I got suckered in to riding the carousel one last time before we left!

Thanksgiving at the Farm

We went up to the farm to visit with all of the Fulton clan the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The weather was so great and Grady and Vera enjoyed playing outside all afternoon with their cousins.  Once they got on the four wheelers, they didn't want to get off!  Vera kept chanting, "Ride, Ride, Ride!"  I got some cute pictures of them riding with Josh and Dad...

Visit from PawPaw

PawPaw came to Mississippi for a visit and a wedding that we all went to this weekend.  Grady and Vera were SO excited that he brought them piggy banks from one of his recent trips.  AND a bag full of coins to put IN the piggy banks!  THANK YOU, PawPaw!

Sue's Annual Halloween Party

Susan's Halloween party has become an annual event!  Worked out GREAT this year since we had trick-or-treating the night before.  Grady was all smiles as he was bombarded with treats as he first entered the house!
Thank goodness Pete left the Cousin Eddie costume at home this year!  Ha!  He decided to go the Blues Brothers route...
Mom and Beverly brought back their cat costumes again...
Will started off the night as a biker dude.  SO cute!
And then he had a costume change and reappeared with Dad (a.k.a Clark Kent) as Superman, Jr.

Vera just wanted to rock Will all night!

Here's a short video of Vera and Will.  She is telling him all about her favorite friends, MAAAAAAGIEEEEEEE and the "guts"...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Trick-or-Treating...RedNeck Style!

Due to projected bad weather, trick-or-treating was moved up to Halloween-Eve in some neighborhoods in town.  Our friends, the Graves, invited our small group to trick-or-treat with them around their neighborhood.  When we got to their house, Chris had hooked up a trailer to a four wheeler so that our whole gang could stay together.  So we had some "red-neck style" trick-or-treating!  The kids had a blast!  And we did, too!

Miss Vera dressed up as Cinderella this year and Grady-man was Captain America!
